Nobody calls us when things are going well. When the phone rings, something has gotten out of hand.
Most of what we clear has been building for years, not weeks. The garage that hasn't held a car since 2018. The rental unit a tenant left at midnight with no warning. The house that belonged to somebody's mother and still holds three decades of her life.
A junk removal before and after matters because the "before" is what explains the work. Without it, a cleared garage is just an empty room. With it, you can see that three people spent five hours on that floor, and that forty-some boxes had to be opened, sorted, and routed before a single square foot became visible.

Snap three to five photos of the space and text them to (951) 837-8072. That gives us the volume and the access situation, and it locks in your ballpark price before we drive out.

We confirm and arrive
We set the appointment window and call fifteen minutes before we pull up. If calling is inconvenient, the contact form works just as well.

One walk-through, then we load
Walk us through once and tell us what stays. Then step back. Every lift, every tight staircase, every awkward corner is ours. Door protectors and moving blankets come standard. You touch nothing.

We sort before disposal
Everything gets sorted after loading. Usable pieces go to donation. Mattresses route to certified recycling. E-waste goes to certified processors. Metal goes to scrap. The landfill is the last stop, not the first.

Twenty-Year Garage on Borel Road

The homeowner had been in the house since 2003. The garage door had not opened all the way in four years — a collapsed wire shelving unit had fallen across the track and never got moved.
Inside: a riding mower that had not started since 2018, two patio sets in various stages of collapse, a side-by-side refrigerator pulled during a kitchen remodel, four bike frames without wheels, and somewhere between forty and fifty boxes nobody had opened since the last move. One path, about eighteen inches wide, ran through the middle. The left wall was invisible from the doorway.
After
Three crew, five hours, one full trailer plus a partial second run. The mower and the better patio set went to scrap — the steel still had value. The refrigerator went to a certified appliance recycler.
Boxes were opened on site and sorted as we went. Roughly a third of the contents went to donation. The floor was fully visible, the car fit through the door, and the track was clear. The homeowner stood there about a minute before saying anything.

The property manager called first thing. The tenant had cleared out overnight — phone off, no notice.
Left behind: a full bedroom set, a large sectional, a broken dining table, two mattresses, bags of clothes and trash across both rooms, and three storage bins on the patio next to a collapsed market umbrella. The unit had to photograph for listing by Friday.
After
Cleared the same day, done by early afternoon. Both mattresses went to a certified recycling facility — California's Used Mattress Recovery and Recycling Act makes landfill disposal illegal, and we route every one.
The sectional was still presentable and went to donation. The bed frame had good metal but was too worn for charity, so it went to scrap. Patio swept. The property manager had listing photos the same afternoon.

Everything else was still there: living room, dining room, three bedrooms, a two-car garage, and a backyard shed. The house had been occupied for thirty-one years. The realtor had a listing appointment booked. The family had four days.
After
Day one was the interior, four crew, room by room. Day two was the garage and shed. Most furniture routed to donation or scrap.
What went to Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley's ReStore on Jefferson: a dining table in solid shape, two upholstered chairs, a bookcase, and kitchenware. The realtor photographed the morning after day two and listed the following Monday.

Before
The homeowner's daughter called. Her father had been living alone for several years and the family had not seen inside in a while. We were the second company she contacted. The first quoted it and then went dark.
On the assessment walk, hallways were shoulder-width. Two spare bedrooms were impassable. The kitchen had a clear line to the stove but the counters had been buried a long time. No mold, no biohazard, no rodent activity beyond old droppings. Mostly a long stretch of not discarding anything.
After
Three days. We started in the most accessible rooms and worked inward. The homeowner was present throughout and made every call on anything ambiguous. We did not dispose of a single item without confirmation if there was any question of value.
By day three every floor was visible, the hallways were clear, and the kitchen table was usable. Three full trailer loads. We do not photograph these jobs without explicit permission — that has been policy since we opened. The daughter sent us a referral two months later.

Suite Clearout off Ynez Road

A business had relocated and left what the movers would not take: six cubicle panels, eight chairs in varying condition, a conference table, two empty filing cabinets, a breakroom fridge, a stack of old monitors and a printer, and shelving along two walls.
The suite had to be broom-clean for the lease return inspection.
After
In at nine, out before noon. Monitors and the printer went to a certified e-waste recycler. The fridge went to appliance recycling. Four of the eight chairs had real life left and went to donation.
The conference table and cubicle panels were too worn for resale and went to disposal. We swept and wiped the wall contact marks — the kind that show up on any outgoing inspection after years of furniture pushed against drywall. The business cleared inspection and got released from the lease two weeks early.

Kitchen Gut on Stagecoach Road

A contractor finishing a full kitchen gut called when the demo phase wrapped. The back patio was the staging zone: demolished cabinet carcasses, a wall section of cement backer and tile, the original laminate in stacked pieces, drywall cutouts, copper supply runs, the old range and dishwasher, and the plumbing fixtures.
The framing crew was ready but could not stage materials with the patio locked up.
After
Arrived at noon, loaded and gone by 2:30. Copper pipe went to scrap and the contractor took a credit on that portion. Appliances went to certified facilities.
Tile, drywall, and cabinetry went to a licensed construction debris site in Riverside County. The framing crew was staging lumber on the clear patio by three. That contractor runs through our commercial account now.

The customer had been paying monthly on a 10x20 unit for six years and had not opened it in three.
Inside: a sleeper sofa, a disassembled bunk bed, three bicycles, two flat-screen TVs from the previous decade, four filing cabinets, a treadmill with a broken belt, roughly thirty boxes of unknown contents, and plastic shelving along the back wall. They needed it emptied and the contract cancelled by end of month.
After
Two hours. The TVs went to certified e-waste — California's SB 20 prohibits landfill disposal of covered electronics. The bicycles were usable and went to a local charity. Filing cabinets went to scrap.
The treadmill was too far gone for donation and went to disposal for the steel. Boxes were sorted on site, and about a quarter of the contents had real value and were set aside for the customer. Unit empty, swept, and open for facility inspection the same day.

A realtor handling an REO listing called to clear the property before showing. The previous occupants had left a full household: furniture throughout, kitchen appliances, a washer and dryer, a non-functional above-ground pool frame in the yard, and a garage with hand tools, paint cans, and miscellany.
The paint had to be separated from the general haul. California regulates latex and oil paint as household hazardous waste.
After
Full day, three crew. The paint cans were staged separately and directed to a Riverside County household hazardous waste facility. We do not transport regulated hazmat, and we will not — that is licensed-contractor territory.
Everything else was loaded and sorted: furniture to donation where condition warranted, appliances to certified recyclers, pool frame to scrap. The realtor photographed the next morning and listed within the week.

The movers had already taken everything going to the new place. What stayed: a queen mattress nobody wanted to bring, a loveseat that did not fit the new layout, an old desktop tower and monitor, a box spring, and about a dozen bags the movers would not touch.
They had to be out by five. They called us at eleven.
After
There by one, done before three. Mattress and box spring routed to certified recycling through California's Bye Bye Mattress program. The monitor and tower went to e-waste recycling.
The loveseat went to donation — clean fabric, solid frame. Moving bags to disposal. The customer turned in their keys on time.

Industrial Unit off Enterprise Circle West

Before
A distribution business was consolidating into a smaller unit and needed the back third of a 3,500 square foot bay cleared.
That meant broken pallet stacks, two dead forklifts flagged for scrap, metal shelving that did not fit the new footprint, outdated display fixtures from a retail operation they had absorbed, and a corner stack of cardboard about six feet high. A new short-term tenant was coming the following week.
After
Half day, three crew. Both forklift hulks went to a scrap metal dealer, and that alone generated meaningful recycling credit against the job cost.
Shelving was sorted — the good pieces went to a local business that resells industrial racking, the rest to scrap. Cardboard to recycling. Fixtures and pallets to licensed disposal. The bay was clear and clean before noon. New tenant was in within the week.

Not by the hour, and not by the item. You pay for the space your load fills in the truck. Labor, loading, sweep-up, and disposal are all included.

Know the Law
Illegal Dumping Is a Crime, Not a Gray Area
We get called in to clean up other people's abandoned junk more often than you would expect. Here is what California actually says about it.
Under California Penal Code section 374.3, abandoning waste on public property or someone else's land is an infraction or a misdemeanor depending on volume. Every day the material sits is a separate offense. A mattress left for a week is not one violation, it is seven. Court-ordered cleanup costs come on top of the fines.
Curbside without a scheduled pickup
Putting furniture on a public sidewalk without a confirmed bulky-item pickup through your hauler is illegal dumping. A "free" sign does not change that.
Vacant lots and flood channels
Riverside County's flood channels and roadside areas near vacant land are frequent dump sites. Fines apply per incident, plus cleanup liability.
Roadside mattresses
CalRecycle identifies furniture and mattresses as among the most frequently dumped materials in California. Mattresses also require certified recycling, so the landfill is not a legal option either.
Commercial volume threshold
Dumping more than one cubic yard in connection with business operations bumps the charge from an infraction to a misdemeanor. That is a criminal record, not a ticket.
Paint and household chemicals
Latex and oil paint, solvents, pesticides, and motor oil are regulated hazardous waste. They cannot ride in a regular junk haul. Riverside County runs collection events for exactly this.
Infested items at the curb
Placing bed bug-infested furniture at the curb without plastic encasement can trigger local health code violations. Several Riverside County cities have specific ordinances.

How long does a full garage cleanout take?
Most garages clear in one to three hours. A packed two-car garage that has been accumulating for a decade can take a full day with a three-person crew, like the Borel Road job above. We give you the realistic range at the quote, not after we have started loading and you are committed either way.
Do I need to do anything before the crew shows up?
No heavy lifting. Texting photos ahead of time is the single most useful thing you can do, because it lets us size the crew and confirm pricing before we arrive. When we get there, one walk-through where you call out what stays is all we need. Marking keepers with tape helps on mixed rooms but is not required.
Can you actually clear a hoarding situation?
Yes. We have done genuinely difficult hoarding cleanouts in Riverside County, including rooms with no visible floor and hallways narrowed to shoulder-width. We work systematically, outward from the most accessible space, with the homeowner present making the calls. We do not judge the situation. Call and describe what you are dealing with and we will give you an honest read on timeline and cost before you commit.
What happens to items that could be donated?
We sort after loading. Furniture and household goods still in usable condition go to local donation partners, including Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley's ReStore on Jefferson Avenue in Temecula. We do this when the condition actually warrants it rather than as a marketing claim, which is why the estate job above sent a dining table and bookcase to donation while the worn bed frame went to scrap.
How fast can you turn around a rental unit for a property manager?
Same-day is available for most tenant turnover jobs. Property managers often reach us in the morning and have a broom-clean unit by early afternoon, which is exactly how the Los Alamos Road job ran. Every day a unit sits empty after a tenant vacates is a day of lost rent, and we schedule accordingly.
What do you do with construction demo debris?
Drywall, lumber, tile, concrete, copper pipe, and scrap metal all go to licensed disposal facilities in Riverside County. Metal-heavy loads often generate scrap recycling credit that can offset part of the haul cost. We handle one-time post-build cleanups and recurring job-site accounts for contractors running multiple projects.
Is it legal to leave a mattress or furniture at the curb in Temecula?
No. Under California Penal Code section 374.3, abandoning waste on public property is illegal, with fines starting at $250 and running to $10,000 depending on the offense. Mattresses specifically require certified recycling under the Used Mattress Recovery and Recycling Act, so landfill disposal is not legal either. A quarter-load haul at $195 is never a close comparison to the fine.
Do you photograph the before and after?
We document jobs when customers are okay with it. Hoarding and sensitive estate jobs are never photographed without explicit permission, and that is a standing policy. If you want before-and-after photos of your own job for your records or your insurer, mention it when you book and we will take them and send them over after the haul.
How do you price a cleanout?
By volume, meaning the space your load fills in the truck. A quarter load is 3 cubic yards at $195, which is our minimum pickup. A half load is 6 cubic yards at $350, three-quarters is 9 cubic yards at $495, and a full load is 12 cubic yards at $595. That covers crew labor, fuel, disposal fees, mattress recycling routing, and donation sorting. The final price is confirmed on site before we load a single item.
What if the job turns out bigger than the photos suggested?
Garages and storage units consistently run larger than the owner expects once everything has to come out. If we can see it in the photos ahead of time, we bring the second trailer. If it surprises us on arrival, we quote the extra load before we load it, never after. Nobody gets a number they did not agree to.
Is there anything you will not haul?
Regulated hazardous waste. Paint, solvents, pesticides, motor oil, and pool chemicals need a licensed hazmat contractor or a Riverside County household hazardous waste collection event. We will separate those items and point you to the right place, as we did on the Florida Avenue foreclosure, but we do not transport them.
What areas do you serve, and when are you open?
Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Winchester, and French Valley, plus the surrounding Southwest Riverside County communities. Larger estate and commercial jobs take us further afield. We are open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday.
