How Much Does a Hoarder Cleanout Cost in Temecula?
It starts at $195, the quarter-load minimum, and a full 12-yard trailer load is $595. There's no separate hoarding rate. A hoarded house simply fills more loads than a single pickup, and I count those loads with you on the walk-through so the total is on paper before we start.

Most hoarding jobs run several
Labor, loading, hauling, disposal fees, donation and recycling drop-offs, and the sweep at the end are included in every load price. A full load includes one hour of loading time.
What Can Add to the Price?
- Stairs
- $150 on loads under 7 cubic yards, $300 on loads of 7 cubic yards or more (the $300 replaces the $150). No stair charge when there's an elevator.
- Appliances
- $30 each for refrigerators, freezers, and AC units, which covers the refrigerant recovery California requires.
- Mattresses
- $15 per mattress. Box springs carry no fee but count toward the load volume.
- Extra loading time
- $75 per hour per crew member past the hour included with a full load. Sorting a hoarded room takes longer than loading it, so I write the expected hours into the estimate.
Household hazardous waste such as paint, propane, and pool chemicals can't ride in the load at any price.
Text a photo and you get a load size and a firm price before we roll out. On site we confirm what the photo showed: if it comes in smaller, you pay the smaller price; if the pile grew, we re-quote before anything goes on the trailer. Nothing is added after loading starts. No deposit. A hoarded house is the one job where a few photos aren't enough to price it, so I'll use them to plan and then walk the house before I give you the number.

Will You Remove Soaked-In Animal Waste?

No. Needles need an approved sharps container and medications need a pharmacy or county take-back program, not a trailer.

No. Older flooring, popcorn ceilings, and pipe wrap need a certified abatement contractor before any debris near them moves.

What Makes a Hoarding Cleanout Take Longer or Cost More?
Sorting time, weight, and access, more than the size of the house. A standard haul is one room and one trailer. A hoarded house is a long run of decisions, usually with a deadline and somebody in the house who isn't ready, so the lifting turns out to be the easy half.
- Nothing has been sorted yet. Deeds, birth certificates, cash, jewelry, and medication turn up in bags that look like trash from two feet away, so everything gets a second look.
- Access comes first. Blocked hallways and doors mean the first few hours go into cutting a path, not filling loads.
- Weight is hard to eyeball. Paper, books, and water-damaged textiles run far heavier than they look, which changes the load count.
- Conditions can move the scope. Rodent activity, mold behind stacks, and soft flooring usually show up only once material comes off the walls.
- Several loads mean several trips. Volume spread across the rooms, the garage, and the yard means the trailer goes out and comes back more than once.

At their pace, in the categories they set. Pushing somebody through that doesn't speed the cleanout up. In my experience it's the most common reason one stops halfway.
