Who's answering
Menifee junk removal answers from the owner, not a call center
Most of the questions on this page came in by text. People send a photo of a garage or a hot tub and then ask the same handful of things: what's it going to cost, can you come today, and are you going to nickel-and-dime me on the stairs. So we wrote the answers down.
Menifee is roughly 25 minutes up the I-215 from our yard in Temecula, and it's the city we've watched change the most. Sun City is full of long-time residents downsizing out of homes they've been in for thirty years. The tracts along Newport and Scott Road turn over constantly. Romoland and Homeland still have working horse property with old tack, fence panels, and equipment that a standard hauler will refuse. Those three jobs need three different trucks-worth of thinking, and that's the part a franchise dispatcher three counties away can't do.
Weston Molitor
Founder · Wild West Junk Removal
I started Wild West in 2016 with one trailer and a phone number. Ten years later I still answer that phone. If you text a photo at 8 a.m., you're getting a number back from me or someone on my crew — not a form response and not a bot.
“I've never once raised a price after the truck was loaded. If I quote you $350 in the driveway, it's $350 when we pull out. That's the whole business, honestly.”
The number one question
What does junk removal cost in Menifee?
We charge by volume — how much room your stuff takes up in the trailer. Not by weight, not by the item, not by the hour. These are our current rates and they're the same in Menifee as they are in Temecula. No fuel surcharge for the drive up the 215.
| Load size | Volume | What that usually looks like | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quarter load | 3 cubic yards | A sofa and a couple of boxes, one appliance, a small brush pile. This is our minimum pickup. | $195 |
| Half load | 6 cubic yards | A bedroom set, a decent garage purge, a mix of appliances and yard debris. | $350 |
| Three-quarter load | 9 cubic yards | A full two-car garage, a small rental turnover, a remodel's worth of debris. | $495 |
| Full load | 12 cubic yards | Whole-house cleanout, large estate job, multi-room clear. Best value per yard. | $595 |
What's already in that price
Labor, loading, the drive, dump and recycling fees, and a broom sweep of the area we worked in. There is no upcharge for stairs, for a long carry from a back yard, for heavy items, or for taking things apart. If it's in the quote, it's in the quote. Full rate card on our junk removal pricing page.
Quarter load is our minimum. If you have a single item that fits in a pickup bed, the quarter-load rate is still what applies — the truck, the crew, and the disposal fee cost the same whether the trailer leaves half full or a quarter full.
Timing
Can you actually do same day junk removal in Menifee?
Usually, yes — and here's the honest version of that answer. We run Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and we're closed weekends. If you text before roughly 11 a.m. on a weekday and we have a truck free, Menifee is close enough that we can slot you in the same afternoon. Call at 4:15 on a Friday for a full-house cleanout and I'm going to tell you Monday, because I'd rather be straight with you than show up in the dark and do half a job.
Our trailer stages in Temecula. Sun City, Menifee Lakes, Quail Valley, and the Newport Road corridor are all inside a half-hour run, which is the entire reason same-day works here and doesn't work for haulers dispatching out of Orange County.
Scope
What we haul — and the short list we won't
The rule of thumb: if it isn't hazardous and two people can carry it, it's going in the trailer. These are the Menifee jobs we run most often.
Furniture
Sectionals, recliners, bed frames, mattresses, dressers, dining sets, office furniture. We do the disassembly — you don't need to break anything down first.
Appliances
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, water heaters. Refrigerant-bearing units get routed to a certified recovery processor, not the landfill.
Garage & storage cleanouts
The single most common Menifee call. Thirty years of boxes, holiday bins, exercise equipment, paint-free clutter. We sort donatable goods out as we load.
Yard waste & green debris
Palm fronds, tree trimmings, brush, sod, dirt, and the pile your green bin will never accept. Common after Santa Ana wind weeks.
Estate & whole-house cleanouts
Sun City families call us for this more than anywhere else we work. We move at your pace and set aside anything you flag before it goes on the trailer.
Construction & remodel debris
Drywall, lumber, tile, cabinets, roofing scrap, broken concrete. Usually the mess a contractor left behind in an HOA tract where a dumpster isn't allowed on the street.
Hot tubs
Menifee back yards are full of tubs that stopped working in 2019. We cut, dismantle, and haul. Deck removal quoted separately if it's involved.
Tenant turnovers
Property managers along Haun and Bradley use us between tenants. We strip a unit fast, invoice cleanly, and work around your listing date.
Horse property debris
Romoland and Homeland only. Old tack, broken fence panels, feeders, rusted equipment, manure. Most junk haulers say no to this. We don't.
The things we have to say no to
Household hazardous waste
Paint, solvents, motor oil, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, car batteries. These are regulated in California and can't ride in our trailer. Riverside County runs free HHW collection events for residents — that's the correct route.
Asbestos & friable material
Popcorn ceiling scrapings, old pipe wrap, certain vinyl tile from pre-1980 homes. This requires a licensed abatement contractor. If we spot it on-site, we'll stop and tell you rather than load it.
Biohazard & medical waste
Sharps, contaminated material, anything requiring a licensed remediation crew. We'll help you find someone who does it properly.

The process
How a Menifee job actually runs
Four steps, no sales call, no in-home estimate appointment you have to take a half-day off work for.
-
Text photos
Send pictures to (951) 837-8072. Wide shots beat close-ups — we're estimating volume, so we need to see the pile, not the detail.
-
Get a range back
We reply with a load-size range and the matching price. No obligation, no follow-up sales sequence.
-
We arrive and lock the price
Before a single item moves, we walk the job and give you a firm number. You say yes, or we leave and there's no charge for showing up.
-
We load, sort, and sweep
You don't lift anything. Usable goods go to local donation partners, e-waste goes to a certified processor, and the landfill gets whatever is genuinely left.
Coverage
Every Menifee neighborhood, including the ones with gates
Menifee incorporated in 2008 by pulling together Sun City, Quail Valley, Romoland, and the old Menifee Valley communities, and each one still behaves like its own town when it comes to junk. Here's where we work and what we tend to find there.
Sun City
Off McCall and Cherry Hills. Overwhelmingly downsizing and estate work — long-tenure homes with decades of accumulation. We're patient here, and we're used to working alongside family members sorting as we go. This is our highest-volume pocket in the city.
Menifee Lakes & Newport Road
Newer tracts, HOA rules, tight side yards. Lots of furniture swaps, remodel debris, and hot tubs. Most of these HOAs won't let a roll-off dumpster sit at the curb, which is exactly why a same-day trailer works better.
Quail Valley
Older lots, steeper driveways, more outbuildings. Sheds, scrap metal, and yard debris dominate. We bring the smaller rig when access is tight.
Romoland & Homeland
Rural and semi-rural, north end of the city. Horse property, farm debris, fencing, equipment. The stuff other haulers turn down.
Scott Road, Haun & Bradley corridors
Rental-heavy. Property managers here are our repeat commercial accounts — turnovers, evictions, and the occasional storage unit clear.
Neighboring cities
We cover the whole I-215 / I-15 corridor. See our Temecula junk removal and Murrieta junk removal pages, plus Wildomar, Winchester, Canyon Lake, and Lake Elsinore.
Common confusion
City bulky pickup, a dumpster, or a junk hauler?
These are three different tools and people mix them up constantly. Menifee residents get bulky item collection through the city's franchised waste hauler, and for two items on a curb with no deadline, that is genuinely the right call — it's included in what you already pay. Here's where each one actually fits.
| Situation | City bulky pickup | Roll-off dumpster | Wild West |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two items, you can move them to the curb, no rush | Best choice | Overkill | Works, but you're paying for labor you don't need |
| Full garage, need it gone this week | Exceeds item limits | Possible — if your HOA allows it | Best choice |
| Items are inside, upstairs, or in a back yard | You do the moving | You do the moving | We do the moving |
| Multi-week remodel, debris generated daily | Not applicable | Best choice | Better as a final cleanup pass |
| Freon appliance or e-waste | Restricted — check with the hauler | Prohibited | Handled and routed properly |
| You need it gone today | Scheduled days out | Delivery + haul-off cycle | Often same afternoon |
We'll tell you when to use the city instead
If you text us a photo of one mattress on a curb, we'll say so. Bulky item programs, limits, and eligibility change — confirm current details directly with the City of Menifee. We'd rather lose a $195 job than have you pay for something you already have. We also rent dumpsters when that's the better fit.
Before we arrive
Five minutes of prep that tightens your quote
- 1Shoot wide. Stand back and get the whole pile in frame. A close-up of a dresser tells us nothing about volume.
- 2Pull the stuff you're keeping out first, or tag it. The single most common delay is sorting keep-vs-toss with us standing there.
- 3Mention stairs, gates, and codes. Not because we charge for them — we don't — but so we bring the right rig and the right number of guys.
- 4Flag anything hazardous up front. A half-can of paint hiding in a garage box is what turns a clean job into a re-visit.
- 5Say whether anything is donatable. If the couch is genuinely good, we'll route it to a local charity instead of a transfer station.
- 6Book weekday mornings if speed matters. We're 9–5 Monday through Friday and closed weekends. Mornings have the most same-day room.
What Menifee-area customers say
Real reviews, never incentivized
They showed up on time, worked fast, and were super professional. The crew was friendly, respectful, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was cleaned up perfectly. Fair prices, great service.
Weston and his team are on it. I run a commercial operation and sometimes we need to bring in some professionals to get rid of some insane types of junk. They respond as fast as any company I have seen, and get the job done 100% of the way with no shortcuts.
Nick and the crew were on time and very professional. They removed reclining couches, entertainment center, coffee table, end tables from our upstairs loft. They were very careful and cleaned the area afterwards. Great price!
Nick and Jake were friendly, fast, and really efficient. They gave me a fair price and were quick in and out, making the whole process hassle-free. I definitely recommend them.
I hired this company to come pick up some stuff I no longer wanted. They came within hours and the gentlemen that came were very nice, easy to communicate with, and had great attitudes.
This company is amazing. I was in need of junk removal, I called, they came, it was done. They are so professional in every way. Courteous and friendly.

Frequently asked questions
Menifee junk removal FAQ
Twelve questions we get every week, answered the way we'd answer them on the phone.
We price by volume. A quarter load is 3 cubic yards at $195, which is also our minimum pickup. A half load is 6 cubic yards at $350, three-quarter is 9 cubic yards at $495, and a full load is 12 cubic yards at $595. Labor, dump fees, recycling, and cleanup are all included in those numbers. Text photos to (951) 837-8072 and we will tell you which bracket you fall into before we drive out.
Often, yes. We operate Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and are closed Saturday and Sunday. If you text or call before late morning on a weekday and we have a truck open, Menifee is about 25 minutes from our Temecula yard, so same-afternoon pickup is realistic. Large whole-house cleanouts booked late in the day will usually get scheduled for the next business morning instead, because we would rather do the job properly than rush it.
Yes. Sun City is part of the City of Menifee and it is one of the busiest areas we serve. Most of our Sun City work is downsizing and estate cleanouts for residents who have been in the same home for decades. We work at your pace, set aside anything you want to keep, and route usable furniture to local donation partners rather than the landfill.
We cannot haul household hazardous waste such as paint, solvents, motor oil, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, or car batteries. We also cannot take asbestos-containing material or biohazardous waste, both of which require a licensed abatement or remediation contractor. Riverside County runs free household hazardous waste collection for residents, and that is the correct route for those items. Everything else that is not hazardous and can be carried by two people is fair game.
No. That is the entire point of hiring a junk hauling company instead of using curbside bulky pickup. We carry items out of garages, back yards, upstairs bedrooms, sheds, and attics. You point at what goes and our crew does the lifting. If you would rather stage items in the driveway to speed things up, that is fine too, but it is never required.
Never. Our price is based purely on how much space your items take up in the trailer. A treadmill from an upstairs loft costs the same as a treadmill sitting in the driveway. There are no fuel surcharges, no weight fees, no disassembly fees, and no add-on for tight side yards. The number we give you in the driveway is the number you pay.
City bulky item collection runs through Menifee's franchised waste hauler, it is included in what you already pay, and it is genuinely the better option for one or two items you can move to the curb yourself with no deadline. It has item limits, size restrictions, and scheduling lead time. We are the right call when the volume exceeds those limits, when the items are still inside the house, or when you need it gone this week. If your job is a two-item curbside job, we will tell you to use the city instead.
Yes. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners contain refrigerant that is regulated under California and federal rules, so they cannot simply go in a landfill. We disconnect standard hookups, haul the unit out, and deliver it to a processor that recovers the refrigerant properly. There is no separate fee for this on our end, it is covered by the load-size price.
California operates a statewide mattress recycling program funded by a fee you already paid when you bought the mattress. Mattresses and box springs are pulled apart and the steel, foam, fiber, and wood are recovered separately. We route mattresses through that channel rather than dumping them, which is also why illegal mattress dumping in Menifee alleys and vacant lots is both unnecessary and a fineable offense.
Whenever we can. Furniture and household goods in usable condition go to local donation partners. Electronics go to CalRecycle-approved e-waste processors. Metal goes to scrap. Green waste goes to a composting facility. The landfill is the last stop, not the first, and on a typical Menifee garage cleanout a meaningful share of the load never reaches one.
Yes, and we do it constantly around Menifee Lakes and the Newport Road tracts. Give us the gate code or add us to the guest list when you book. Our trailer is sized to work in tracts where an HOA will not permit a roll-off dumpster to sit at the curb, which is one of the main reasons homeowners in those communities call a hauler instead of renting a bin.
Not always. If everything that needs to go is outside, in an unlocked garage, or in an accessible side yard, we can send you photos and take payment remotely. Property managers in Menifee use us this way all the time for tenant turnovers. For interior jobs, or anywhere there is any question about what stays and what goes, we would rather have you or someone you trust on-site so nothing gets loaded by mistake.
Yes. Wild West Junk Removal has been a licensed, insured, family-owned operation based in Temecula since 2016, founded and still run by Weston Molitor. Certificates of insurance are available on request, which property managers and commercial accounts in Menifee usually need for their files. Just ask when you book.
