Our Story

Why a Local Junk Removal Company in Temecula Made Sense

Wild West Junk Removal started in 2021 with one trailer, one truck, and a gap nobody in the valley was filling. On one side you had the national franchises quoting a Temecula family close to three hundred dollars to carry off a single sofa. On the other side you had guys off a classified ad who took a deposit, gave you a four hour window, and never turned up. And when they did turn up, nobody could tell you whether they carried insurance or where the load was actually going.

Weston Molitor decided there ought to be something in between. He built it out of Sandhill Lane in Temecula and the model has not moved since: quote the job before you lift it, do the carrying so the customer never touches the heavy end, and sort the load so the landfill gets what is left over instead of what showed up first.

We are not a chain. We are not a lead broker selling your phone number to three companies at once. We are not a franchise renting a logo from a head office in another state. We are a local junk removal company in Temecula, and the truck you see on Rancho California Road is the same truck that pulls into your driveway.

5,000+ Loads hauled across the Temecula Valley since 2021

Most of the calls we take now come from somebody we already hauled for, or from the neighbor they told. Five years in, referrals are still the only marketing plan this company has ever really had.

The Owner

Meet Weston Molitor, Owner of Wild West Junk Removal

Call the number on this page and you are talking to the man whose name is on the insurance certificate.

Weston Molitor

Owner and Founder

Weston is usually the voice on the other end of the line. He takes the calls, works up the quotes, sets the schedule, and he is still out running crews on jobs most weeks of the year. If you booked a same day pickup in Temecula and somebody told you a time, that was probably him.

He has spent five years learning this valley the slow way. He knows which gated communities in Redhawk and Wolf Creek want a vendor pass at the kiosk, which Old Town alleys a trailer can actually turn around in, and what time the transfer station line stops being worth sitting in. That is not something a franchise manual teaches you. It comes from doing it here, load after load.

I started Wild West because the big franchises were charging this valley a few hundred bucks to take a couch. Nobody should need a second mortgage to get rid of an old sofa. We show up when we say, charge a fair price, and leave the place cleaner than we found it.

Licensed and Insured

What Licensed and Insured Actually Buys You

Junk removal is one of the few trades where a stranger walks into your house, picks up something heavy, and carries it down your stairs. That is a real risk, and it is worth asking who carries it. If the hauler is uninsured and puts a dolly through your drywall, or wrenches a back on your staircase, the exposure lands on your homeowner policy. It happens more than people think, and it is the single biggest reason we tell customers to ask.

Wild West is a licensed business carrying general liability insurance that covers your property, our crew, and the load in transit. We bring the paperwork with us. If you are a property manager, a realtor staging a listing, or an HOA board that needs a certificate on file before we come through the gate, say so when you book and we will have it to you before the truck rolls.

  • General liability coverage on your property, our crew, and the load while it is in transit
  • Certificates of insurance issued ahead of the job for HOAs, property managers, and commercial sites
  • Every load tipped at a permitted facility, under a weight ticket, never a wash or a vacant lot
  • Documentation carried on the truck, and we would rather you asked to see it than assumed

Why the disposal side matters as much as the insurance

An uninsured hauler with nowhere legitimate to tip has one cheap option, and it is your old water heater in a wash off De Portola. Riverside County enforces against illegal dumping, and the citation lands on the property owner far more often than people expect. Ask any hauler where the load goes and whether they can show you the ticket.

What We Stand On

Four Decisions Made in 2021 That Have Not Bent Since

A Price Before We Lift

You get the number first, before anyone touches anything. It covers the labor, the haul, and the dump or recycling fee. If the job carries an add-on, a stair carry or an appliance, that is on the quote too. You hear it on the phone, not after the trailer is half full and you have no leverage left.

Licensed and Insured, Every Job

Liability coverage on your property, our crew, and the load. We carry the documentation on the truck. Ask to see it. We would rather you did, and we would rather you asked the other bidder too.

The Landfill Is the Last Stop

Usable furniture and working appliances go to donation. Metal, cardboard, and e-waste go to processors. What is genuinely finished gets buried, and that is the smallest share of the load we can make it.

We Treat Your Home Like Ours

Door frames get padded. Corners get watched. The spot where the thing used to sit gets swept before we pull out. You should not be able to tell we were there except by the empty space.

How a Job Goes

From Your Call to an Empty Garage

  1. Call or Text a Photo

Ring (951) 837-8072 or text a picture of the pile. A photo is usually faster than a description and gets you a firmer number.

  2. Get a Real Price

We quote from volume, not an hourly clock. The number covers labor, hauling, and disposal, plus any add-on the job calls for, and you hear all of it before we start.

  3. Pick a Window

Same day is often possible if you call early. Otherwise we set a window and we show up inside it.

  4. Point, and We Carry

Upstairs loft, side yard, back of the garage. You point at what goes. Nobody expects you to drag it to the curb. Mention stairs when you call so the quote covers them.

  5. Sorted, Not Dumped

Donations get dropped, recyclables go to processors, and the remainder is tipped at a permitted facility. Then we sweep.

Where It Goes

Where Your Junk Actually Goes

Most haulers will not answer this question, which is a reasonable thing to be suspicious about. Here is our answer. Every load gets sorted, either at the curb or back at the yard, before anything gets tipped.

  • Donation first. Furniture with life left, working appliances, tools, unopened household goods. These go to local charities and thrift operations in the valley. On a typical residential cleanout this is the biggest single share of what we pull out, and it is the part customers are usually most relieved to hear about.
  • Recycling second. Scrap metal, appliances with steel and copper, cardboard, and CRV go to processors. Electronics, televisions, monitors, and batteries are barred from burial in California and get routed to certified e-waste handlers, not the dump.
  • Green waste and organics. Yard debris, branches, and brush go to composting and mulch rather than a hole in the ground. California's SB 1383 pushed hard on this, and CalRecycle sets the diversion targets the whole state is measured against.
  • Landfill last. Whatever is left, mixed construction debris, ruined carpet, broken particle board, goes to a permitted facility such as El Sobrante in Corona under a weight ticket. That is the only thing that gets buried, and it is the pile we are always trying to shrink.

What we cannot take, and why

Paint, solvents, motor oil, pool chemicals, propane, asbestos, and medical sharps have to go through Riverside County's household hazardous waste program, which is free for residents. That is not a preference, it is the law. If any of it is mixed into your job, tell us on the phone and we will point you at the nearest collection facility. See everything we take and do not take before you book.

Our Service Area

Rooted in the Temecula Valley

The Wild West Junk Removal crew loading a truck on a Temecula Valley cleanout
The crew on a Temecula Valley cleanout. We load it, haul it, and sweep up.

This is home turf. We haul out of Old Town, Redhawk, Harveston, Vail Ranch, Meadowview, Paloma del Sol, and the Wine Country stretch off Rancho California, then out to Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, Winchester, French Valley, Lake Elsinore, and Canyon Lake. Living here is not a marketing line. It is why we know the gate codes and the HOA vendor rules, why we know which streets a trailer cannot back down, and why we can tell you on the phone whether your job is a two hour morning or a full day.

It also means we know the seams in the local system, because our customers keep falling through them. The City of Temecula gives residents two free bulky item pickups a year through CR&R, its franchised hauler, capped at two items per call. That is genuinely useful, and if your job fits inside it, we will tell you to use it. But a garage cleanout is not two items, an estate is not two items, and a torn out kitchen is not two items. That is the day people call us.

The money you spend with a family owned junk removal company stays in the valley. So do the donations. When we pull a usable dresser or a working washer out of your cleanout, it goes to a local charity that can put it in a valley home, not onto a pallet headed somewhere else.

FAQ

About Wild West Junk Removal: Frequently Asked Questions

Is Wild West Junk Removal really family owned?

Yes. Wild West Junk Removal is owned and operated by Weston Molitor out of Temecula, California. There is no franchise headquarters in another state, no regional licensee, and no corporate call center. When you dial (951) 837-8072 you reach the owner or someone who works directly for him, and the person who quotes your job is the person accountable for it.

Who is Weston Molitor?

Weston Molitor is the founder and sole owner of Wild West Junk Removal. He started the company in Temecula in 2021 and still handles the quoting and scheduling himself, and he is out running crews on jobs most weeks of the year. He is the only founder of the business.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are a licensed business carrying general liability insurance that covers your property, our crew, and every load we haul. We bring the documentation to the job and are glad to show it. If your HOA, property manager, or commercial site needs a certificate of insurance on file before we arrive, ask when you book and we will send it ahead.

How long has Wild West Junk Removal been in business?

Since 2021. In that time we have completed more than 5,000 junk removal jobs across Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, and the rest of the Temecula Valley. Most of our work today comes from repeat customers and referrals from people we have hauled for before.

What are your hours?

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. If you call or text outside those hours, leave a message or send a photo and we will get back to you the next business day.

What happens to the junk you haul away?

We sort every load. Usable furniture and working appliances go to donation, metal and recyclables go to processors, electronics go to certified e-waste handlers, and green waste goes to composting. Only what is genuinely unusable goes to a permitted landfill, and it goes there under a weight ticket.

How much does junk removal cost in Temecula?

Pricing is based on how much room your junk takes up in the truck, not on an hourly clock. A quarter load is $195, a half load is $350, a three-quarter load is $495, and a full 12 cubic yard load is $595. That number covers labor, hauling, and the disposal or recycling fee. Some jobs add a line item, such as a stair carry or an appliance, and we tell you before we start rather than after. See our junk removal pricing page for the full schedule, or text a photo to (951) 837-8072 for a real number.

Do I have to move anything to the curb before you arrive?

No. That is the job. We do the carrying, whether the item is in an upstairs loft, behind a side gate, in a backyard, or buried at the back of a garage. You point at what goes, and we handle the rest. Stairs do carry a surcharge, $150 on loads up to one-half truck load and $300 on loads over one-half truck load, so tell us about the stairs when you call and it goes in the quote instead of surprising you on the day.

What cities do you serve?

We serve Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Winchester, and French Valley, plus the surrounding parts of southwest Riverside County. If you are near the edge of that map, call and ask. We usually can.

Can you do same-day junk removal?

Often, yes, especially if you call early in the day. Same-day availability depends on where the trucks already are and how big your job is. Call (951) 837-8072 and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you today or whether tomorrow is the honest answer.

Is there anything you will not take?

Yes. We cannot take hazardous material, including paint, solvents, motor oil, pool chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos, and medical sharps. State and county rules require those to go through Riverside County's household hazardous waste program, which is free for residents. Everything else is fair game. Our what we take and do not take page has the full list.

Do I need to be home when your crew comes?

Not always. Plenty of our property manager, realtor, and out-of-state estate customers set the job up by phone and photo and never meet us on site. If the items are accessible and we can agree on the scope and the price in advance, we can handle it without you there and send photos when it is done.
