Section 2

Information We Collect

There are three ways information reaches us: you hand it to us, your browser sends it automatically, or you text us a photo of the pile.

Information you give us

Your name, phone number, email address, service address, and any details you type into a quote form or tell us on the phone about what needs to be hauled away. If you request a written estimate or an invoice, we keep a record of that job.

Information collected automatically

Your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you viewed on this site, how long you stayed, and the page or search that sent you here. This is standard web server and analytics data.

Photos and text messages

Many customers text a photo of the junk so we can quote it sight unseen. If you do that, we receive your phone number, the photo, and any message you send with it. Photos may contain embedded location data, so remove it first if that concerns you.

What we do not collect

We do not take payments through this website, so no card numbers, bank details, or payment credentials are collected or stored here. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, driver license numbers, or any other government identifiers.

Comments

Blog and page comments are turned off across this website, so there is no comment form collecting names, email addresses, or IP addresses. If comments are ever re-enabled, this policy will be updated before that happens.

Media you upload

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images published on the website.

Section 3

How We Use Your Information

Every use below is tied to running the business or running the website. Nothing is used for profiling, scoring, or resale.

  • Responding to quote requests, phone calls, texts, and contact form submissions
  • Scheduling your pickup and getting the truck to the right address at the right time
  • Preparing estimates, invoices, and receipts, and keeping records required for taxes and insurance
  • Following up on a job, resolving a problem, or answering a question after the fact
  • Understanding which pages of this site are useful so we can improve them
  • Protecting the site and our customers from spam, fraud, and abuse

If you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop. Replying STOP to a text message from us ends further messages from that number.

What rights do I have over my data?

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Deletion does not cover records we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, tax, or security reasons, such as invoices for completed work.
