How Much Does a Garage Cleanout Cost in Temecula?
A garage cleanout in Temecula costs $195 to $595 with us for anything that fits in one trailer, priced by how much of the trailer it fills. A few big items fit the $195 minimum. A one-car garage with a solid layer of boxes and furniture is usually a half load at $350. A two-car garage you can't park in is usually a full load at $595. Each fridge or freezer adds $30, and there's no hourly meter running while we carry.

Every price includes a two-person crew, carrying everything out of the garage so you don't stage anything in the driveway, emptying the ceiling racks, fuel, disposal, and a sweep of the floor when the last thing is out.
Add-ons, stated before we load
- Appliances
- $30 each for a fridge, freezer, or AC unit. Garages collect these, so count them before you text.
- Mattresses
- $15 per mattress, any size. Box springs carry no fee but count toward the load volume.
- Stairs
- The garage floor never has a stair charge. A loft above it or a bonus room does: $150 on loads under 7 cubic yards, $300 on loads of 7 cubic yards or more. No stair charge if there's an elevator we can use.
- Extra loading time
- A full load includes one hour of loading. Past that, $75 per hour per crew member.
A full load is 12 cubic yards in our 12ft × 8ft × 4ft dump trailer, loaded by a two-person crew.
Here's how the number works. Text a photo and you get a load size and a firm price before we roll out. On site we confirm what the photo showed: if it comes in smaller, you pay the smaller price; if the pile grew, we re-quote before anything goes on the trailer. Nothing is added after loading starts. No deposit.
For a garage, send two wide shots from the driveway with the door all the way up, plus one of whatever's on the ceiling racks. That's usually enough for me to call the load without coming out first.

What We Take
What Will You Haul Out of a Garage?
Everything in the garage you're done with, from the floor to the ceiling racks: boxes, old furniture, dead appliances, exercise equipment, tools, shelving, bikes, and patio overflow. What we can't take is tires and household hazardous waste like paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, and propane, and I'll point you to where those go for free.
Boxes and clutter
Moving boxes you never opened, holiday bins, kids' stuff, paperwork you've already gone through. Cardboard that's sat through a few Temecula summers tends to split when it's lifted, and that's fine. You don't need to repack anything.
Garage fridges and freezers
The second fridge that died, a chest freezer, a washer and dryer, a water heater that's already disconnected. $30 each for a fridge, freezer, or AC unit. More on refrigerator removal and appliance removal.
Exercise gear and heavy pieces
Treadmills, weight benches, ellipticals, a pool table, a gun safe. Heavy pieces go out on dollies and straps, not on your back. The really heavy ones are covered under heavy-item removal.
Tools, shelving, and workbenches
Broken power tools, rusted hand tools, metal shelving, and the workbench that came with the house. If it's bolted to the wall, we unbolt it.
Furniture and mattresses
The couch from two moves ago, bed frames, dressers, patio sets. Anything in donatable shape gets set aside. Mattresses are $15 each; see mattress removal.
Electronics
Old TVs, monitors, printers, and computers ride with the load and go to a certified e-waste recycler, not the landfill. Details on electronics recycling.
Ceiling racks and rafters
Whatever's up on the overhead racks or laid across the rafters comes down with the rest. You don't need to get on a ladder before we get there.
Yard and patio overflow
Broken patio furniture, dead planters, old fence boards, the kiddie pool. Green waste can ride in the same load; see yard waste removal.
Rentals, listings, and shop bays
A tenant left the garage full, listing photos are Thursday, or it's a commercial bay. Approve the price by text and we can work from a lockbox. Landlords, see tenant turnover cleanouts; businesses, commercial junk removal.
What can't go on the trailer
Paint, stains, thinners, motor oil, antifreeze, pool chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, propane, car batteries, and fluorescent tubes can't ride in any junk load at any price. Tires stay off the trailer too. We're not a registered waste tire hauler. Most tire shops around Temecula and Murrieta take old tires for a small per-tire fee. The rest of the list is on junk we take.
How It Works
How Does a Garage Cleanout Work?
You text photos, I text back a firm price, and you pick a window. On the day, a two-person crew empties the garage, loads the trailer, and sweeps. Most garages are done in two to four hours, and same-day is usually open if you book before noon.

Get a firm price
I text back the load size and the number. No deposit, nothing to sign to hold the slot.
Mark what stays
Move the keepers into one corner or into the house, or tape a sign on them. Whatever isn't marked goes.
Confirm at the door
We check the garage against your photos. Smaller means a smaller price. Bigger means I re-quote before anything goes on the trailer.
Empty, load, sweep
Heavy pieces on dollies, racks and rafters cleared, shelving unbolted, then the floor gets swept.
Sort at the drop
Donatable pieces, scrap metal, and electronics get split off before anything goes to the landfill.
A garage is easier for a crew than it looks from the driveway. The trailer backs right up to the door, there are no hallways to turn, and most of what's out there is boxed. What slows a garage down is the loose small stuff: coffee cans of screws, a workbench covered in jars, a shelf that collapsed into a pile. That's where the time goes, and it's why I want to see the photo.
Garages here also get hot. By midsummer a closed-up Temecula garage is the worst place on the property to be lifting anything, ours included. If you can take a 7AM window in July or August, take it.

What Changes the Price
What Makes a Garage Cleanout Cost More?
Volume sets the price, and on a garage three other things can move it: going past the hour of loading that comes with a full load, fridges and freezers in the mix, and stairs if part of the job is in a loft or a room upstairs.
Volume, and height more than floor space
A two-car garage with boxes stacked waist-high is a different job from the same garage stacked to the door. Floor space fools people. Height is what fills a trailer, which is why I ask for the photo from the driveway with the door all the way up.
Loading time on a full load
A full load comes with an hour of loading for two people, and most garages fit inside that hour. Where it runs over is the loose small stuff. Past the hour it's $75 per hour per crew member. If I think a job will go past the hour, I'll say so when I quote it, not after.
Fridges, freezers, and mattresses
$30 for each fridge, freezer, or AC unit and $15 for each mattress (no fee on box springs). Garages end up holding both, so a packed two-car garage with a dead fridge and a chest freezer is $655, not $595.
Stairs
The garage floor itself never carries a stair charge. A loft above the garage, a bonus room, or stuff coming down from upstairs to go out through the garage does: $150 on loads under 7 cubic yards, $300 on loads of 7 cubic yards or more.
What I need to see in the photo
- ✓The whole garage from the driveway, door all the way up.
- ✓The ceiling racks and anything laid across the rafters.
- ✓Every fridge, freezer, mattress, and anything heavy like a safe or a pool table.
- ✓What you're keeping, so I don't count it.
- ✓Where a 12-foot trailer can back up, and whether your HOA limits driveway staging.
What doesn't change the price: a long carry from the back of a three-car garage, same-day versus next week, and which city in our area you're in.
Free Options
Can You Clear Out a Garage for Free in Temecula?
Partly, yes. City of Temecula residents get two free CR&R bulky-item pickups a year, Riverside County takes paint, oil, and chemicals free from residents, and furniture and tools in good shape can go to donation. What the free routes don't do is carry anything out of the garage, so they work best when you're doing the hauling.

If it's one couch and a broken dryer, use the free bulky pickup and keep your money. I'll tell you the same thing on the phone. A full garage is where it stops making sense, because you'd still be the one carrying all of it out to the curb.
What about the dump?
There's no public dump in Temecula. If you're hauling it yourself, our where to dump in Temecula guide lists the closest drop-offs. What you can't do is leave it on a vacant lot or a roadside. That's illegal dumping under California Penal Code 374.3, and a cubic yard or more counts as a commercial quantity, with a mandatory fine of $1,000 to $3,000 on a first conviction. A garage load is well over a cubic yard.
Where It Goes
Where Does Everything From the Garage Go?
Usable furniture, tools, and household goods go to donation, metal goes to a scrap recycler, electronics go to a certified e-waste recycler, and fridges and freezers get their refrigerant recovered. What's left after that goes to a permitted landfill.
Donation
Furniture, tools, and household goods in good shape go to our donation partners: Habitat for Humanity, The Salvation Army, and Goodwill.
Scrap metal
Steel shelving, bike frames, weight plates, old tools, and water heaters go to a scrap recycler instead of the landfill.
Electronics
TVs and monitors are covered electronic waste in California and go to a certified processor under CalRecycle's program. More on what counts as e-waste.
Fridges and freezers
Refrigerant has to be recovered before the metal is recycled, under the EPA's Section 608 rules. That's what the $30 covers.
Garages sort better than most rooms because so much of what's out there is metal. Shelving, bikes, exercise frames, and tools are worth separating, and they don't need to take up landfill space.
Donation depends on condition and on what the charity is taking that week. I won't promise your couch a second life. If something looks close to new, say so and I'll ask before it goes on the trailer. Our donation and recycling page lists who we drive to and what they turn down.

Most garages take two to four hours once the crew is on site. A few big items are done in well under an hour. A three-car garage packed to the rafters takes longer and can need a second trailer, and I'll tell you that when I quote it.
No. Someone needs to show us what stays, or mark it clearly, before we start. After that you can leave the garage open or give us a door code, approve any change by text, and pay when the job is done.
Yes. Empty it and unplug it the day before so it can drain, and tape the door shut if it smells. The $30 appliance charge covers the refrigerant handling, so you don't need to book a technician first.
Yes for freestanding shelving and workbenches, and we unbolt units that are fastened to the wall. If you want an overhead storage rack itself taken down, not just emptied, say so in your text so I can plan the time.
Yes, up until we pull away. Tell the crew and we'll dig it out. Once the trailer leaves, it's gone, so take your time on the keep pile before we start loading.
