Whole-House Furniture
Every load includes a two-person crew, the carry from any room, the garage, or the back yard, taking a piece apart when it won't fit through the door, fuel, the landfill fee, the donation and scrap runs, and a sweep where the furniture sat. There's no deposit and no trip charge, and same-day and next-day pickups cost the same as any other day.
What Costs Extra on a Furniture Pickup?
- Stairs
- $150 on loads under 7 cubic yards, $300 on loads of 7 cubic yards or more. No stair charge if there's an elevator we can use. A second-floor bedroom set counts, so mention the stairs when you text.
- Mattresses
- $15 per mattress, any size. Box springs carry no fee but count toward the load volume. One mattress by itself is $210, and its box spring rides along at no fee.
- Appliances
- $30 each for a fridge, freezer, or AC unit, for the refrigerant recovery those units need. Furniture never carries it.
- Extra loading time
- A full load includes one hour of loading. Past that hour, it's $75 an hour per crew member.
Pianos, hot tubs, gun safes, and pool tables aren't priced like furniture. They have their own pages because they need more hands or more equipment.
Why Is One Couch the Same Price as a Quarter Load?
Because one couch costs us the same $195 trip as a quarter load of anything else: the same trailer, the same two guys, the same drive, and the same landfill gate fee. That's why there's no per-item rate below $195, and it's why I'll tell you to put the old recliner and the bookshelf on the same trip. If they fit in that quarter of the trailer, they ride for nothing extra.
How Do You Price Furniture When Every Piece Is a Different Size?
By how much of the 12-yard trailer it fills, not by the piece or the set. Furniture comes in every size and weight, so a bedroom set can be a quarter load or twice that, and I'd be guessing if I quoted it by the set. What doesn't move is the ladder: $195 for a quarter load, $350 for a half, $495 for three-quarters, and $595 for the full trailer, plus any surcharge that applies.
Your photo sets the real number. Text a photo and you get a load size and a firm price before we roll out. On site we confirm what the photo showed: if it comes in smaller, you pay the smaller price; if the pile grew, we re-quote before anything goes on the trailer. Nothing is added after loading starts, and there's no deposit.

What We Haul
What Furniture Will You Haul Away From a Temecula Home?
We haul any household or office furniture that two or three people can carry, from any room in a Temecula home, and we take it apart in the room when it won't fit through the door. That covers couches, sectionals, sleeper sofas, recliners, beds, dressers, dining sets, desks, bookcases, entertainment centers, and patio furniture. What About Beds and Bedroom Sets?

Do You Take Dining and Kitchen Furniture?
Yes. Tables, chairs, benches, bar stools, china hutches, buffets, and sideboards. Most hutches are built as a top and a base, so they split in two and the glass doors stay out of harm's way on the carry.
Do You Take Patio and Outdoor Furniture?
Yes. Sun-cracked resin chairs, rusted metal sets, wicker, umbrellas and stands, loungers, and porch swings. We take it straight from the yard or the pool deck, so nothing comes through the house. Fire pit tables go too, once the propane tank is off and set aside for you to keep or drop at a household hazardous waste site.
What Won't Go on the Trailer?
Whatever is still inside the furniture that we can't legally haul: paint, chemicals, propane, batteries, medications, firearms, and ammunition. Those go to Riverside County's household hazardous waste program instead. Built-ins screwed to the studs are a demolition job, not a pickup.
What If the Couch Won't Fit Through the Door?
We take it apart, and it doesn't cost extra. Sectionals unclip at the connectors, most recliner backs lift straight off, and bed frames, bunk beds, and headboards come apart at the bolts. When a doorway really is too tight, we'll take the door off its hinges and hang it back up before we leave.
Why Are Sectionals and Sleeper Sofas the Hard Ones?
Weight and shape. A big L-shaped sectional can run 250 to 350 pounds, a sleeper sofa hides a folding steel frame with no good handhold anywhere on it, and a reclining couch carries a mechanism that adds weight and pinches fingers. Most of them came into the house through an empty room and a wide-open front door, and they almost never leave the same way.
Don't start taking them apart yourself the night before. A half-disassembled couch is harder to carry than a whole one, and we bring the tools.
Do You Take Office Furniture?
Yes. Desks, task chairs, filing cabinets, bookcases, conference tables, and reception furniture all go, priced on the same $195 to $595 ladder as a house. Empty the drawers first, because a loaded four-drawer file cabinet turns a two-person lift into a four-person one.

Can I Get Rid of Furniture for Free in Temecula?

Good furniture can go to a charity, and furniture that's worth something can be sold. Use those first, and call us when the timing, the stairs, or the condition of the piece rules them out.
When Does the Free CR&R Pickup Make Sense?
When you're a City of Temecula resident, it's a piece or two, and the date can wait. Each household gets two free bulky-item pickups a year, booked ahead through CR&R. It doesn't work when escrow closes Friday, when the couch is upstairs and nobody can carry it down, or when you've already used both pickups this year. Murrieta, Menifee, and the county areas have their own trash service and their own rules, so check with yours.
Should I Donate a Good Couch Myself?
If it's clean, in one piece, and you have a truck, yes. Dropping it at a thrift store yourself is free, and paying us $195 to drive one good piece there doesn't make sense. If it's going out with other furniture anyway, we pull the good pieces for our donation partners at no extra charge. Is It Worth Selling Old Furniture Before You Call Us?
For solid wood, name brands, and anything people collect, yes. List it a week before you book us, and whatever's still there when the listing comes down goes on the trailer. We don't buy furniture or appraise it, so if you think a piece is worth real money, sell it before we come.
The EPA's own advice is the same order we follow: reuse first, recycle second, throw away last. A couch that gets a second home is better for everybody than one we haul to the landfill.
How It Works
How Does a Furniture Pickup Work With Wild West?
A furniture pickup takes four steps, and you don't lift anything. You text a photo, we send back a load size and a firm price, a two-person crew carries everything out and loads it, and we sweep where it sat before we leave. A single couch is usually loaded in under twenty minutes.
How Do I Get a Price?
Text a photo or two to (951) 837-8072. Wide shots beat close-ups: show the pieces and the path to the door. You get a load size and a firm price back, usually within a few minutes.
When Can You Come?
Same-day slots are open most days, Monday through Saturday, 7AM to 7PM. Text in the morning for the best shot at an afternoon pickup, or pick a day that suits you.
What Does the Crew Do on Site?
They check the pile against the photo and start carrying. Anything that won't fit through the door comes apart in the room, and blankets go on the stair rails and door frames when the path is tight.
What's Left When You Leave?
An empty spot and a swept floor. The screws from a bed frame and the dust under the couch go with us. Then the load gets sorted: donation first, scrap second, landfill last.
Can You Take Furniture Down From Upstairs?
Yes, from any floor, and the stair charge is the only difference: $150 on loads under 7 cubic yards and $300 on loads of 7 cubic yards or more. A sectional out of a second-floor loft is $195 plus $150, so $345. If the building has an elevator we can use, there's no stair charge at all. Tell us about the stairs when you text, so the price you get already has them in it.
How Should I Get Ready Before the Crew Shows Up?
Empty the drawers and pull out anything you're keeping. That's most of the prep, and the rest takes ten minutes.
- ✓Empty dressers, nightstands, desks, and file cabinets. A full dresser weighs twice as much and can't be donated.
- ✓Check the drawers and under the cushions one more time. People find things every single time.
- ✓Clear a walking path from the furniture to the front door.
- ✓Move a car so the trailer can back up close to the door.
- ✓Set the propane tank, paint cans, and batteries somewhere we won't grab them.
What Changes the Price
What Makes a Furniture Pickup Cost More?
Volume first, then stairs. A sectional costs more than a loveseat only if it pushes your job into the next load size, and a second-floor bedroom set costs more only by the $150 or $300 stair charge. Weight, taking pieces apart, and a long carry from the back yard don't change the number.
Does a Sectional Cost More Than a Loveseat?
Only if it fills more of the trailer. A loveseat by itself and a sectional by itself are both $195 quarter loads. A sectional, a recliner, a coffee table, and a TV stand together usually fill a half load, $350. That's why I ask what else is going: three pieces on one $350 trip beat three separate $195 trips every time.
What Pushes a Job Into the Next Load Size?
Bulky upholstered pieces, more than how many pieces there are. A sectional, a sleeper, and a recliner take up more trailer than a dresser, a desk, and a dining table, because wood furniture stacks and upholstery doesn't. When I price your photo, that's what I'm looking at.
What If There's a Mattress or a Fridge in the Pile?
They ride on the same load and add their own charge: $15 per mattress (no fee on box springs), and $30 per fridge, freezer, or AC unit.
When Does Loading Time Come Into It?
Almost never on furniture alone. A full load comes with an hour of loading, and that's plenty for most houses' worth of furniture. It's the whole-house jobs with full closets, a packed garage, and boxes stacked on the furniture that sometimes run past it, at $75 an hour per crew member, and I'll tell you up front if I think yours will.

Where It Goes
What Happens to Your Old Furniture After We Haul It?
Usable furniture goes to our donation partners, metal goes to scrap, and the rest goes to a licensed landfill, in that order, and the sorting is included in your price. It matters more for furniture than for almost anything else we haul. Nationally, the EPA counted 12.1 million tons of furniture and furnishings thrown out in 2018, and about 80 percent of it was landfilled.
Most of the rest was burned for energy, and almost none was recycled. That's EPA data, and it's why we pull the good pieces off every load before anything heads to the landfill.
Which Pieces Get Donated?
Clean, solid, complete furniture with no stains, tears, broken frames, or smoke smell. We drop it with partners like Habitat for Humanity ReStore, The Salvation Army, and Goodwill. The charity decides what it takes, so a piece we think is fine can still get turned away at the dock.
What Gets Recycled?
Metal. Steel recliner mechanisms, bed rails, metal desks and filing cabinets, and aluminum patio sets go to the scrap yard. Particleboard and worn upholstery almost never have anywhere to go but the landfill.
What Ends Up in the Landfill?
Anything broken, stained, wet, moldy, or pest-damaged, plus most particleboard. It goes to a licensed Riverside County facility, and the gate fee is already inside your price.
Why Does the Age of a Piece Matter?
Two dates matter: 1978 and 2015. Furniture made after February 27, 1978 can't carry lead-containing paint under the federal ban in 16 CFR Part 1303, so an older painted dresser, headboard, or crib may have lead paint on it. Tell us about it, and don't sand or scrape it first. Old cribs have their own rules too, and our crib and car seat guide covers them.
The 2015 date is about foam. Upholstered furniture sold in California since January 1, 2015 meets the TB 117-2013 standard and carries a label saying whether flame-retardant chemicals were added, which the state's Bureau of Household Goods and Services spells out. A lot of older foam was treated with them. Leave the "under penalty of law" tag on your couch: it tells a charity what's inside the cushions.
Curb Rules
Is It Legal to Leave Furniture at the Curb in Temecula?
Only on a scheduled bulky-item pickup. A couch left on the street, in an empty lot, or by someone else's dumpster without one is illegal dumping under California Penal Code 374.3. Fines start at $250 for a first conviction and run up to $3,000 by the third, and each day the pile stays there counts as a separate violation.
A "free" sign on a couch at the curb is a gamble. If nobody takes it by the next morning, it's just a couch on the street, and you're the one who left it there.
What Should I Do Instead?
Book the CR&R pickup if you're in the City of Temecula and can wait, donate it if it's in good shape, or text us a photo and we'll carry it out of the house for you. At an apartment complex, leaving furniture by the dumpsters without the owner's okay falls under the same law, so ask the manager first.
